Wish It Lasted Forever

Wished It Lasted Forever

  1. The book was written by Dan Shaughnessy.
  2. What did I learn from this book? This book took me down memory lane. See growing up I was the biggest Celtics fan that ever lived in Alabama. So, the information about the team interested me greatly. The book covered my childhood when I was in the range of 10 to 13. I remember sitting up watching the Celtics games with my dad on our huge satellite dish. I would crank it up to F4 to the Celtics network and we would watch games almost every night. The book was written by a reporter who was with the Boston Globe and traveled with the Celtics during their dynasty with LArry Bird, Kevin McHale, and Robert Parrish. So, naturally I was a huge Larry Bird fan as he played against Magic Johnson and the Lakers. The book not only covers the games but it also covers what happened at practice and during down time. It was refreshing to read something that meant so much to me growing up.
  3. I was glade to rekindle some of my childhood memories reliving those nights that dad and I spent watching the games. I carried the same tradition on with my son and I hope he does with his one day. Or, better yet I might be blessed enough to watch games with all my future grandchildren.
