by John MacArthur
Pastor John MacArthur uses an expository approach to explaining what we will and will not endure at the end of times. The one thing we all don’t know is when Christ will return. Jesus even tells us in Scripture only the Father knows. So, if you hear someone say Jesus is coming back in 1, 3, or 10 years they are not prophesying, they are making up time frames. The one constant thing we can count on is He is coming back. So, we better be ready. The challenge for believers is to maintain the proper balance of three perspectives—watching, waiting, and working. We must watch for Him daily. We must never give up waiting because He will return. In the meantime, we should be working to save more souls to the Kingdom. When He returns, it will be too late to recover a lost opportunity. His judgment will occur immediately, and it will result in the final, irreversible disposition of all souls alive at His appearing both believers and nonbelievers. Now is our only time to prepare. This second is the only opportunity we are guaranteed. I encourage you to share the Good News. We will give an account at His coming for what we did with this opportunity. How will you fair in His presence?
