It is based on the scripture (Joshua 10) where God made the sun stand still for Joshua to fight. We need to have fervent prayer and faith like Joshua as it relates to what we ask God to do in our live for His glory. A sun stand still prayer applies audacious faith to a clearly defined need or goal that requires God’s supernatural involvement. Essentially, it is appropriate for any area of your life that is in alignment with God’s will. These aren’t for selfish purposes, but neither are they only for the spiritual stuff in your life. It could be things like broken relationships, career aspirations, physical and emotional healing or achieving life goals. So, what do you pray for? We have to do our part as well. We have to be willing to put things like pride to the side of God to help us. We also have to be willing to work. If you want a better career are you willing to go back to school to help yourself? God has a divine plan for each of us and we need only to ask for His help and guidance.
