What did I learn from the book? Many people want to understand how the Rapture unfolds, and this is the perfect book to explain the end of times. Dr. Jeremiah uses a simple step by step process to explain things like the tribulation, second coming, and the new heaven and earth. What is the Rapture? It is an event in which all who have put their trust in Jesus are suddenly caught up from earth and taken into Heaven by him. One thing to take note of is when Jesus returns at the Rapture, He will remain hidden to people on earth. Those lost will wonder where everyone went. The Rapture is the catalyst, the divine explosion, that starts the prophetic countdown to the end of time as we know it. Jesus snatching living believers to heaven to rescue them from the horrific devastation that is coming in a time called the Tribulation.
The Tribulation is a brief seven-year period filled with unprecedent horrors, upheavals, persecutions, natural disasters, massive death tolls, and political turmoil, lasting until Christ’s physical return to earth. Simply stated, the Tribulation is a time of blistering judgment and withering destruction as God pours out His judgment on rebellious humanity. During the first three and a half years of the Tribulation, there will be a surge of worsening conditions, the anger of God against those who reject Him, and the unfolding of the signs of Christ’s return to earth. During the last three and a half years of the Tribulation, the “lawless one” –the Antichrist will be empowered to sit at the center of the Tribulation’s evil as he personifies Satan. The good news is there is still time to be saved and forgiven after the Rapture if you make it through the seven year period.
The Second Coming is referenced in the Bible 1,845 times, Jesus is coming back and He is coming back to take His Kingdom. Knowing He is coming back, so people have to change. Think about this if you make it through the Tribulation you will see Jesus’ return. The first time Jesus came He came as our Savior, and He is coming the second time to be our King. Jesus will rule the earth from Jerusalem for 1,000 years (the Millennium). The good thing is that followers of Christ will receive rewards and reign with Him during this time.
Out of God’s creative work, He will reshape, He will remake, He will re-create all of the heavens and this earth. There will be no destruction of what God has made. It is a renewal. It is a recreation. All evidence of disease will be gone, disobedience will melt away, and all the remnants and results of sin, sorry, and sufferings will be destroyed. It will be a place of happiness and glory. New Jerusalem will descend from the sky and become the capital city of God’s Eternal Kingdom.
Right now the world is falling apart. There are mass shooting’s, natural disasters and war in Israel. Our world is being ripped apart. And it can never come together or make sense apart from Jesus. When Jesus returns our world will be put back together. That means regardless of what happens-no matter how depressing or difficult things might be right now-life in Christ has a happy ending for us who have received Him as Savior. For every believer the best is yet to come.
How will I use this book in the future? I want others to come to Jesus I am going to witness to those who yet believe. I will tell them what Jesus has done for me. I feel it is important to reach out to those who are still without hope. Time is running out. I want to bring as many people as I can with me as possible. My job is not to save others; I can’t save anyone, but I can point them to the One who can save.
