by Ben Carson
This book is based on the life of Ben Carson. Carson grew up poor in Detroit and was raised by his mother. She was uneducated; however, she pushed Carson to strive to be the best at everything he attempted. From an early age, Carson wanted to be a doctor. He later went to Yale and the University of Michigan. He received his training from John Hopkins Hospital and he did a one year stint in Australia. He knew from an early age he would make a skilled surgeon because of his extreme hand-eye coordination. He has performed many surgeries other doctors would not perform and saved many lives including the most popular one of successfully separating Siamese twins. The whole time Carson was a doctor he stayed committed to his family and God. We are blessed to have men like Ben Carson in our country.
