Signs of the Times

This book is for anyone who wants to know what the Bible says about the rapture, the antichrist, Armageddon, Heaven, and hell. In John 14:6, Jesus said, “I will come again.” Did you know that one-third of the Bible deals with the topic of prophesy or end time events? Obviously, these events are important to God, and should be important to us as well. Did you also know that many of the prophecies in Scripture have already been fulfilled?

In 1 Thessalonians 13 -17, the Bible speaks about the rapture. It tells us that those who are dead will rise first and then those who are alive. We will meet the Lord in the air. According to Greg Laurie, shortly thereafter, a man will emerge on the scene the Bible describes as “the beast” and “the antichrist.” He will be smooth, charismatic, skillful, and a marvelous communicator. He will have economic solutions and offer peace that the Arab nations and Jews will sign. Some might even label him the Messiah. He will do away with our monetary system, and make everyone use his mark for commerce. The half-way point of the seven year period will be known as the Tribulation he will show his true colors. He will erect an image of himself and command worship. This significant point of the Tribulation period, we can read in the Bible God’s judgments beginning to fall upon earth. The antichrist will persecute Christians and Jews until the final Battle of Armageddon. During this time, Christ will return to earth in what is known as the Second Coming. And then the Millennium begins. This is when Christ will reign over earth. During this time, satan will be chained up for 1,000 years. At the end of the Millennium, Satan will be unleashed. Then, he will be defeated and cast into the lake of fire forever. New Jerusalem then comes down from Heaven to earth, and Heaven and earth become one. This will be the ultimate fulfillment of what our Lord taught us in the Lord’s Prayer when He said, “Your kingdom come, Your will be done on earth as it is in Heaven.” This is how it will end. The answer to America’s problems is not monetary or even military, but a spiritual one. We need more people hearing about who Jesus is and what the Bible promises, not some vague, inclusive, whatever you believe god to be spiritually. We need to get back to the true God of the Bible. When we stop and think what God’s greatest gift to us is, it is and always will be Himself.

Personally, I want to be a more Heavenly minded person. I want to desire and think about God more than anything else. I don’t want the worries and cares of my life to become the most important things in my life. I don’t want to be tied up with the love of this world, I want to only love my God with all my heart, soul, and mind.
