One Thing You Can’t Do In Heaven

  1. Why I read the book? It was a book I found in the chapel. It is written by Mark Cahill. it is a very good book about witnessing.
  2. What did I learn from the book? What will matter 100 years from now? Did it matter how much money you made? What kind of car you drove? The fact of the matter is none of these material things will get you to heaven. The only thing that will matter is those loved ones you have in heaven and the loved ones you have in hell. Jesus tells us in Matthew 18:11, “The Son of Man has come to save that which was lost.” It is important for Jesus to reach the lost, shouldn’t it be a priority to you.

Second Corinthians 5:10 assures us that “we must all appear before the judgement seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in His body, according to that He hath done, whether it be good or bad.” Do you believe you will stand before the throne of Jesus? I can tell you we both will. Does it matter as a Christian whether or not you shared the most precious thing you have with everyone you could? I can tell you yes it will. What will it be like when we stand in front of Jesus? I imagine He is will be more real than I ever imagined. I will be struck by how sinful and impure I am in front of Total Holiness. I cannot fathom how beautiful Heaven will be. But then I think it will really hit me that I’ll wish I would have shared Him a whole lot more than I ever did on earth. If I could spend time with Peter and Paul, I wonder what advice they would give me? I believe they would tell us to give ourselves totally to reaching the lost no matter what the cost. I can guarantee that there is one thing you cannot do in Heaven that you can do on earth. You can worship God in Heaven. You can praise God in Heaven. But the one thing you cannot do in Heave is share your faith with a non-believer. We can never repay Jesus for what He did for us on the cross, but what a fantastic thank-you we can give Him each time we step out and share our faith in Him with the lost.

  1. How will I apply this book in the future? I intend to stop compartmentalizing my Christianity to just certain times in my life, instead of letting it infuse every moment of every day. Eternity is forever and I want Heaven to be full of people.

  1. Yes, they’ll be no “good sections” of heaven, it won’t matter from what stature of life we came from. I guess the folks who that would shock won’t be there.

  2. I fall so short here. We all the sons and daughters of God need to be more bolder and tell everyone what Jesus has done for me. Thank you for the encouraging word.
    Love you
